Boyfriend broke into his longtime partner’s home only to kill her while she was next to her new boyfriend in bed, then stabbed the man when he attempted to push him off the victim, then fled the scene only to die several hours later in a crrash
Florida – Florida woman, 40-year-old Kristen, is dead after a 42-year-old man, later identified as the victim’s longtime boyfriend J. Lindsay, broke into her home only to kill her with a kitchen knife. The man also stabbed the woman’s new boyfriend, who tried to help her before going to the neighbor’s house and calling 911. According to the police officials, the 42-year-old man fled the scene shortly after the attack only to then get into his vehicle and die in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck.
Authorities later released a statement, saying the crash resulted in him being ejected from the vehicle, leading to his death. The fatal incident occurred last week after the 42-year-old man broke into his girlfriend’s home only to kill the woman by stabbing her several dozen times. Authorities said the fatal attack occurred nearly 1 month after the defendant was arrested in connection with domestic vioIence at the woman’s home. Then, prosecutors asked the judge to put the defendant on GPS monitoring only for Judge Wayne to decline that request and only ordered the defendant not to contact the victim.
The investigation process began on Thursday after the victim’s new boyfriend called 911 and told the dispatcher that he suffered a stab wound to the leg while trying to defend his partner from a man, who was reportedly stabbing her with a knife. The man, who was not identified, reportedly said that he awoke to broken glass and a man on top of the woman next to him in bed. The unidentified witness also said that he tried to push the man off the victim but was stabbed in the leg and decided to flee out of the house. He then ran into his neighbor’s house, where he called 911.
First responders found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds and pronounced her dead at the scene. The responding officers discovered that the couple’s son was at the home, sleeping, when the attack occurred, but was not injured. Authorities said the defendant then fled the scene only to die several hours later in a car crash. Authorities released a statement, saying that the couple have a history of domestic violence for the last 10 years. One month before he killed the woman, the 42-year-old man was taken into custody and claimed that ‘they were having problems and his girlfriend was acting crazy’ after she called 911 and told the dispatcher that he kicked her off the bed before shoving her into a door. The woman suffered bruises on her face, according to the police officials.
