Eugene Springfield Fire to conduct live fire training in Springfield on October 14 and 20
Eugene, OR – Eugene Springfield Fire, in partnership with the Oregon Department of the State Fire Marshal, will conduct live fire training in an acquired residential structure near 38th Street and Virginia Avenue in Springfield on October 14 and October 20, 2025, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The training will provide valuable, hands-on experience for firefighters, law enforcement personnel, and fire investigators in a safe and controlled environment.
Residents in the area may notice light smoke, fire apparatus, and emergency personnel during the exercises.
Officials ask the public not to call 911 unless they observe an unrelated fire or emergency.
Eugene Springfield Fire extended thanks to the City of Springfield City Manager’s Office and the City of Springfield Department of Public Works for their support.
