City of Eugene seeks public input on home energy scores
Eugene, OR – The City of Eugene is inviting residents to provide feedback on a potential initiative to incorporate Home Energy Scores into real estate transactions.
These scores assess a home’s energy efficiency, offering insight into energy use and identifying opportunities for cost-saving improvements.
City officials say integrating Home Energy Scores could increase transparency in the real estate market, raise awareness about home energy use, and encourage voluntary home improvements that enhance efficiency, comfort, and indoor air quality.
Residents are encouraged to share their thoughts through a short, anonymous survey available at engage.eugene-or.gov.
