65-year-old woman arrested on charges of murder in the second degree after 63-year-old man dies from stab wounds
Eugene, OR – On March 29, at 6:59 p.m., Eugene Police responded to a stabbing incident at a residence in the 1500 block of W. 6th Avenue.
Officers arrived to find a 63-year-old man deceased from stab wounds.
A 65-year-old woman, identified as Cynthia Christine Fletcher, was detained at the scene and later arrested on charges of Murder in the Second Degree.
The two individuals were known to each other, and the investigation is ongoing.
Fletcher was transported to the Lane County Jail, where she remains in custody.
Further details surrounding the incident have not been released as police continue to piece together the circumstances leading to the fatal altercation.
