ESF crews responded to house fire on Antigua Dr, no injuries reported
Eugene, OR – Per reports, fire crews responded to a house fire in North Eugene early Saturday morning.
The fire was reported at 3:15 AM on July 6th on Antigua Dr.
Fire crews, already on the road following a gas leak call, quickly diverted to the house fire.
Ladder 6 from the Sheldon station arrived to find a large volume of fire on the front porch extending inside the home.
Crews made a swift attack on the fire, preventing further extension into the home.
Residents were alerted to the fire by a smoke detector and safely evacuated through the back of the home, uninjured. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
According to the ESF officials, it was a busy last 12 hours of a demanding 48-hour tour for the ESF B-shift crews, with responses to four cardiac arrests, three brush fires, four gas leak calls, a motor vehicle crash, and a house fire among many other regular calls for service.
