Eugene Springfield Fire officials say there is an opportunity for you to get rid of illegal fireworks without getting cited!

Eugene, OR – Eugene Springfield Fire officials released a statement, saying that if you have illegal fireworks at your home, there is an opportunity for you to get rid of them without getting cited!

All you have to do is come to one of these locations’ parking lot to drop them off July 4 and July 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to the Metro Explosives Disposal Unit at:

Fire Station 2 – 1705 W 2nd Ave, Eugene, OR 97402

Fire Station 3 – 1225 28th St, Springfield, OR 97477

The event is only open to private individuals, not commercial parties.

Do NOT take fireworks to a police or fire station outside of these listed dates.
