The Eugene Police Department issues guidelines for reporting illegal fireworks
Eugene, OR – As the holiday season approaches and fireworks light up the sky, residents are reminded of the proper channels for reporting illegal fireworks activity. It is crucial to reserve 911 calls for emergencies where someone is injured or property is being actively damaged. The 911 service is designated for immediate threats to life or property.
Given that this is one of the busiest times of the year for emergency services, those calling 911 may experience extended hold times. Lower-priority calls, such as noise complaints or concerns about illegal fireworks, will take longer to address.
For non-emergency situations, including noise complaints, suspicious activity, or illegal fireworks not in progress, residents are encouraged to use the appropriate business lines listed below:
