ODOT crews will close OR 126W at milepost 19 to bring in large equipment to deal with one particularly troublesome area above the west entrance to the Knowles Creek Tunnel n Feb. 26, 2024
Eugene, OR – According to the state officials, the closures will happen from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will be 1-hour in duration.
State officials also announced that motorists will continue to experience 20-minute delays due to the ongoing cleanup efforts along this section of OR 126W.
State officials also expect these delays to extend well into the spring.
These closures and delays are vital to enable the safe maneuvering of heavy equipment, large logs, and debris over the highway.
While these closures are expected to cause daytime delays, our priority remains ensuring the safety of both motorists and our crews.
If you plan to travel this route next week, plan ahead and give yourself extra time. Remember that this work will cause daytime delays.
Be prepared to stop and give ODOT crews space.
