Eugene, OR – According to the state officials, these changes changes are reportedly needed for crews to perform concrete pours for new columns that will support an earthquake-ready Abernethy Bridge.

Drivers should plan for delays because only one travel lane will be open across Abernethy Bridge.

In addition, the loop on-ramp from OR 43 to northbound I-205 will close with signed detours, and the off-ramp from northbound I-205 to OR 99E will also close with signed detours.

The overnight timeframe avoids impacts on weekday peak hours, which have higher traffic volumes, but we know these changes will be inconvenient.
