Melrose Road will be closed at the South Umpqua River from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 19, due to work on the Conn Ford Bridge replacement project

Medford, OR – According to the ODOT officials, Melrose Road motorists are advised to detour along Old Melrose Road, Harvard Avenue, Stewart Parkway and Garden Valley Blvd.
State officials also announced that during the closure, prime contractor Farline Bridge will stage a crane and other equipment on the temporary bypass bridge, allowing them to remove a work platform.
This work is expected to take about seven hours.
The Conn Ford Bridge is part of a $22.6 million project that will also replace the historic 1925 bridge in Oakland. ODOT and Douglas County are partnering on the project.
Work began on both bridges in the spring of 2022 and the project is scheduled for completion in summer 2024.
