42-year-old motorcyclist dies after crash with vehicle at Royal Avenue and Legacy Drive, Eugene Police say
Eugene, OR – A 42-year-old motorcyclist has died following a crash involving a vehicle at the intersection of Royal Avenue and Legacy Drive, according to the Eugene Police Department.
Police said officers and Eugene Springfield Fire responded to the crash at approximately 4:30 p.m. on July 4 after receiving reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle.
The motorcyclist was identified as Justin Wayne Arbogast, 42, of Coburg. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.
The Eugene Police Department’s Major Collision Investigation team responded to the scene and is leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
No additional details about the collision have been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
