39-year-old man dead after a shooting in the Foster-Powell Neighborhood, police say
Portland, OR – According to the police officials, the fatal shooting occurred on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 7:28p.m.,
Officers responded to a report of shots heard in the area of Southeast 74th Avenue and Southeast Powell Boulevard Frontage Road.
When officers arrived they found a man deceased near an encampment.
The suspect or suspects left the scene and no arrests have been made.
The victim was later identified as 39-year-old Rene Ramirez Martinez.
The Medical Examiner confirmed the manner and cause of death to be homicide by gunshot wound.
No other information is available at the moment.
